A motorist was killed after a Jeep crashed into a 7-Eleven on Long Island overnight.
It happened around 2:25 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 in Brentwood.
A man was driving a 2016 Jeep Cherokee westbound on Express Drive North when he lost control of his vehicle, said police.
The Jeep went airborne and struck 7-Eleven, located at 260 Motor Parkway.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The Jeep was impounded for a safety check.
The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
